Ballet / Pointe

01

Ballet / Pointe

Technique based on body alignment, proper placement, and posture. Barre and center floor work are utilized to teach musicality, rhythm, coordination and flexibility. Ballet provides a foundation for all other forms of dance as well as conditioning for sports and injury prevention. Ballet teaches discipline, self control, respect, and self awareness and is recommended as a supplemental class with Jazz, Musical Theater and Lyrical. Leotards, tights and ballet slippers are required. Hair should be neat and out of the face.

Pointe / Pre Pointe classes are only offered to our advanced ballet dancers who have executed the basic technique required (ages 10+). Pointe students must be enrolled in the ballet class before pointe; pointe class is an additional class to ballet technique.

Jazz

02

Jazz

A stylized dance genre focusing on high energy, fast movements, musicality and personality. Jazz dance also studies rhythm, coordination, isolation of movement and creativity through movement — all while learning fun and challenging dance routines each week. Ballet and technique classes are recommended to supplement this class to support proper technique and alignment.

Hip Hop

03

Hip Hop

This class is high energy and fun for anyone. Hip Hop is a style of fast and fluid movements, borrowing elements from ballet, contemporary and African dance. Hip Hop is danced to music with strong beats and is great for anyone wanting to improve their rhythm, coordination and overall dancing skills with combinations and dance routines to some of your favorite songs. Comfortable clothing and sneakers are recommended.

Lyrical / Contemporary

04

Lyrical / Contemporary

A form of theatrical dancing that uses ballet technique, fall and recovery, contraction, release, locomotor movements — movements that convey a message or tell a story. Lyrical and Contemporary are a beautiful and musical genre of dance that explores self expression and creativity through movement. Leotards, tights or leggings are recommended with bare feet or ballet slippers.

Tap

05

Tap

Tap is a dynamic form of dance where rhythmic sounds are created by the feet through a series of controlled and precise movements. Students learn to use their tap shoes as an instrument, developing strong musicality, timing, rhythm, and coordination. Tap class also builds balance, focus, and listening skills while encouraging creativity and self-expression.

Musical Theater

06

Musical Theater

Musical Theater teaches your aspiring entertainers the art and skills to deliver impactful, heartfelt, and oftentimes humorous performances through popular musicals. Students will learn acting, dancing and timing through dances and combinations taught in class. There are also performances at the end of each year to showcase all they have practiced.

Acrobatics

07

Acrobatics

Acrobatics involves a combination of strength, flexibility, and skill — the performance of extraordinary feats of balance, agility, and coordination. Dancers will work on splits, tricks and overall flexibility in this class. Examples: handstands, cartwheels, back bends and walkovers.

Tutu Time & Dance Fun

Tutu Time & Dance Fun

Our Tutu Time and Dance Fun classes are designed for ages 1–2 and are filled with so much creative movement, giggles and fun! These classes are 30 minutes long and involve a guardian to attend with your tiny dancer. We use props, music and imagination to give our dancers a magical experience and first introduction to dance.
